SIGN NOW: Demand Justice for Hailey!

Five-month-old Hailey suffered repeated, horrific beatings that left almost every part of her tiny body broken. Her ribs, spine, legs, jaw, hips and eye sockets were shattered, while an injury at the base of her skull was causing bone and cartilage to press into her brain. Veterinarians said they could not understand how she was still alive. In November 2025, rescuers were forced to make the heartbreaking decision to humanely euthanize Hailey because her injuries were too severe and she had no hope of a life without unbearable suffering.

Police say Hailey’s owners, Elijah Cox and Chakyra Stanford, initially claimed that the puppy had been hit by a car. But veterinary examinations reportedly showed that many of her injuries were older and that she had been beaten repeatedly over several months. Neighbors told investigators they heard whipping noises followed by dogs screaming. When police searched the couple’s home, they also found another dog, Hayden, suffering from a broken leg, as well as items believed to have been used as weapons against the animals.

Hailey was only a puppy. She should have spent her days playing, feeling safe and learning what it meant to be loved. Instead, the people she depended upon are accused of subjecting her to prolonged and unimaginable cruelty. Hayden was thankfully removed from the home and is now recovering with a new family, but Hailey never received that second chance.

Elijah Cox and Chakyra Stanford are facing felony aggravated animal cruelty charges.

Please sign this petition today to demand that Hailey and Hayden receive justice and that those responsible are held fully accountable under the law. No animal should endure this level of suffering without serious consequences.
