Earlier this month, the Trump administration cut Medicaid coverage for hundreds of thousands of legal immigrants, including refugees, trafficking survivors, survivors of domestic violence, and children. These are people who came to the United States seeking safety, protection, and a chance to rebuild their lives. Now Trump is punishing them by taking away access to healthcare. Refugees, asylum seekers, trafficking survivors, domestic violence survivors, and immigrant children deserve support — not cruelty. They should not be denied medical care because they do not fit Trump’s anti-immigrant agenda. Tell Congress to restore Medicaid eligibility for vulnerable immigrants who are lawfully living in the United States. Without healthcare, families may be forced to delay care, skip medication, and wait until preventable conditions become emergencies. Children could miss checkups, vaccinations, prescriptions, or treatment for chronic conditions — care that can shape their health for the rest of their lives. Healthcare should not be used as a weapon against people who have already survived violence, persecution, exploitation, or displacement. Sign the petition to Congress today and tell lawmakers to restore healthcare for vulnerable lawfully present immigrants. The petition to Congress reads: "Restore Medicaid eligibility for refugees, trafficking survivors, domestic violence survivors, asylum seekers, and other vulnerable immigrants lawfully living in the United States. Healthcare should not be taken away from people seeking safety, protection, and a chance to rebuild their lives."
