Two-thirds of North American birds are vulnerable to extinction because of climate change. Familiar birds like the American Robin, Baltimore Oriole, American Goldfinch, and Allen's Hummingbird may become seasonal rarities if the United States continues its status quo for energy production. We have an opportunity to take bold action to ensure a cleaner future for all. The Clean Electricity and Transmission Acceleration Act (CETA) promotes a responsible and timely transition to clean energy sources like wind and solar, which is key to reducing carbon pollution and helping protect wildlife and communities from climate impacts. It prioritizes early and meaningful engagement with stakeholders and community members to ensure that new projects are sited responsibly with birds and people in mind. Add your name to tell Congress to pass CETA for our birds and our future. American Goldfinch. Photo: Chitradeep Das/Audubon Photography Awards
