Trump Should Go To Jail

There is no justice if we, the people, lose faith in our justice system. The Judge in Trump’s NY election interference trial warned him of jail time (again) and found him in criminal contempt for the 10th time. 

Trump should be jailed immediately for contempt of court. We understand the judge is being cautious because he doesn’t want the case overturned on appeal, but we, the people, need accountability and justice. If any other defendant committed contempt of court ten times, they would be in jail. If any other defendant endangered a witness, judge, or court staff, they would be in jail.

The overriding principle of a just legal system requires equal justice for all. The fact that Trump is a former president should not bias any judge to lessen the punishment for his crimes.
