Thank You to the 14 States Fighting for Democracy!

We applaud the attorneys general of New Mexico, Arizona, Michigan, Maryland, Minnesota, California, Nevada, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii for taking bold legal action against Elon Musk’s unconstitutional control over the federal government.

Their lawsuit challenges Musk’s sweeping authority as head of the so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), arguing that his unchecked power violates the Appointments Clause of the U.S. Constitution. Musk’s ability to dismantle entire agencies, cut off congressionally approved funding, and interfere with sensitive government operations must be stopped—and these attorneys general are leading the fight.

Their stand is about protecting democracy, the rule of law, and the integrity of our federal government. Musk’s unelected role as a “designated agent of chaos” undermines separation of powers and allows Trump to sidestep Congress in dismantling vital public services.
