Thank Senate Dems for Blocking the Anti-Trans Sports Ban

We express our gratitude to Senate Democrats for standing up for transgender rights and blocking the discriminatory Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act. This bill sought to federally ban transgender student-athletes from competing on teams that align with their gender identity, further marginalizing and targeting trans youth.

By voting against this harmful legislation, Senate Democrats reaffirmed their commitment to equality, inclusion, and fairness for all students. Transgender youth already face significant barriers to participation in sports, and this bill was yet another attempt to strip away their rights under the guise of "protecting women and girls." Instead of exclusionary policies, we should focus on fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all athletes.

We urge our elected officials to continue fighting against attacks on transgender rights and to champion policies that ensure fairness and dignity for all students, regardless of gender identity.
