Thank Pres. Biden for Protecting Immigrant Spouses

President Biden announced that in coming months, his administration will allow undocumented spouses of U.S. citizens residing in the U.S. for 10 or more years to apply for permanent residency and citizenship without having to depart the country. 

This could impact upwards of half a million immigrants in the United States. 

The Biden administration has been far from perfect on immigration, but when it does the right thing it’s important that we show our appreciation.

This new path to citizenships allows hundreds of thousands of American families to plan for the future and stop worrying about DACA statuses. 

“The only party that is being serious about border security is the Democrats. The only party that’s being thoughtful and compassionate about what to do with people who are living in the shadows are the Democrats,” said Sen. Chris Murphy. “The Republican Party has decided to take a walk on border security.”
