Thank Democrats for Standing Up to Trump's Attacks

We applaud the Democratic members of Congress who convened a powerful bicameral forum to expose and resist Donald Trump’s dangerous attempts to bend the Department of Justice to his personal will.

Senator Adam Schiff, Representative Jamie Raskin, and their colleagues gave voice to courageous attorneys like Liz Oyer, Ryan Crosswell, and Rachel Cohen—professionals who have faced firings, retaliation, and intimidation simply for upholding the rule of law. Their testimony revealed a disturbing pattern of abuse: political loyalty overriding justice, pardons granted without due process, and major law firms pressured to serve power over principle.

We thank these lawmakers for bringing the truth to light and for making it clear that no president is above the law. In the face of authoritarian threats and systemic corruption, Democrats are showing what it means to defend democracy—not just with words, but with action.
