Thank Congress for Holding Kristi Noem Accountable

Kristi Noem expected a routine hearing. Instead, members of Congress demanded answers.

During a recent oversight hearing, lawmakers pressed the Department of Homeland Security secretary about controversial policies and decisions under President Donald Trump’s administration. Their tough questioning raised serious concerns about immigration enforcement, civil liberties, and how DHS is being run.

This is exactly how democracy is supposed to work. Congress has a duty to investigate government agencies and hold powerful officials accountable.
