Tell Trump: Stop Lying About Wind Power

President Donald Trump is spreading clean energy misinformation again — claiming China “doesn’t use wind power” and mocking wind turbines as something only “stupid people” buy.

In a rambling address to global leaders at Davos, President Trump said, “China makes almost all the windmills and yet I haven’t been able to find any wind farms in China. Do you ever think of that? China’s very smart. They make them, they sell them for a fortune. They sell them to the stupid people that buy them. But they don’t use them themselves.”

That’s false.

China is the world’s #1 wind power country — by a lot. It’s building huge wind farms, generating massive amounts of electricity from wind, and expanding fast because wind power is cheap, effective, and profitable.

So when President Trump says China doesn’t use wind, he’s not being “tough.” He’s being wrong — and he’s undermining America’s future.

This kind of misinformation matters. It:

3: Hands China an advantage

4: Keeps Americans stuck with dirtier, more expensive power

Wind power is already delivering in the U.S.:

➡ Good-paying jobs

Clean energy isn’t a joke. It’s the global direction — and the U.S. should lead, not fall behind because of political talking points.

China isn’t avoiding wind power — China is using wind because it works. And America should be building even more of it.

We call on Donald Trump to:

Stop spreading lies and other false claims about wind power

Correct the record publicly, acknowledge your error, and pledge to do better

Support clean energy growth instead of attacking it
The climate crisis is real. 

The clean energy race is real. Americans deserve facts — not fiction.
