Tell the Supreme Court: Protect Gender Affirming Care

The Supreme Court will hear the Biden administration’s challenge to a transgender care ban in Tennessee. The law in Tennessee bans hormone therapy and puberty blockers for minors and imposes civil penalties for doctors who violate the prohibitions. 

Nearly half of US states have signed bans prohibiting gender affirming care into law. We need to fight back and do everything in our power to stop these Republican attacks on transgender youth.

“It’s simple: Everyone deserves access to the medical care they need, and transgender and non-binary young people are no exception,” said Kelley Robinson, president of the Human Rights Campaign. “No politician should be able to interfere in decisions that are best made between families and doctors, particularly when that care is necessary and best practice.”

For trans youth and their families, it’s not about politics, it’s about the freedoms to access life-saving healthcare. 

The attacks against the trans community must end. Healthcare needs to be widely accessible to everyone.
