Tell the Senate: Reject the Pro-Polluter SPEED Act

Polluters are trying to ram through one of the most dangerous environmental rollbacks in years—and the Senate is the last line of defense.

The House just passed the deceptively named SPEED Act — a bill written for polluters, not people. Now fossil fuel lobbyists are pressuring the Senate to rush it through before the public pushes back.

Tell the Senate: “Reject the pro-polluter SPEED Act and more giveaways to fossil fuel companies. Don’t sell out our communities and climate for corporate profits.”

The SPEED Act doesn’t speed clean energy. It guts environmental protections, fast-tracks dirty infrastructure, and shuts communities out of decisions that affect their health and safety. It weakens environmental review, limits court oversight, and makes it harder to stop dangerous projects before the damage is done.

Frontline communities would pay the price — especially neighborhoods already burdened by toxic pollution. Wildlife and fragile ecosystems would also be put at risk, all so polluters can move faster and face less accountability.
