Tell the Media: Stop Falling for Trump's Distractions

The recent release of audio from President Biden’s 2023 interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur has sparked another media frenzy — but there’s nothing new here. The transcript was released over a year ago, and the Department of Justice closed the case with no charges filed.

This isn’t journalism — it’s a rerun of a right-wing smear campaign, timed to distract from Donald Trump’s mounting legal troubles and daily scandals. And once again, major outlets like Axios, CNN, and The New York Times took the bait.

The facts haven’t changed. What’s changed is the strategy: amplify old material with fresh headlines to undermine public confidence in President Biden’s leadership and shift focus away from Trump’s criminal exposure.

The media must stop playing into this distraction. Their job is to inform the public — not echo the latest shiny object from Trump’s political operation.

We must hold them accountable. Demand the media focus on facts, not political theater — and stop enabling Trump’s endless campaign of deflection.
