Federal Trade Commission Chairman Andrew N. Ferguson, When people do the work to recycle, their plastics should actually be recycled. Yet less than 10% of plastic is recycled globally. The rest piles up in landfills or is incinerated. Americans deserve to know whether the products they buy can actually be recycled. And with plastic pollution set to triple by 2060, we don’t have time to waste. I urge you to update the FTC’s Green Guides to require honest and accurate labeling from plastic producers.
