Tell the Forest Service: Save America’s wild forests

Forest Service Chief Tom Schultz:

The Roadless Rule has protected 45 million acres of America’s forests across nearly every state for a quarter century. These forests are home to bears, elk, owls, salmon, songbirds, pine martens and more of America’s dignified and important wildlife, as well as trees that have stood  since long before the country was founded. 

Rescinding the rule puts all that in peril. Road construction, logging and mining clear-cuts animals’ homes, breaks up important habitat and threatens already vulnerable species.

I urge you not to rescind the Roadless Rule, and instead to keep these vital protections in place.
