Tell the DOJ: Investigate Clarence Thomas Now

In a surprise move, two senior Democratic Senators just sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland making the case that he should appoint a special counsel to investigate Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

The meticulously-detailed letter, sent on Tuesday July 9 by Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse and Ron Wyden, points out that Justice Thomas has "committed numerous willful violations of federal ethics and false-statement laws."

When Democratic Senators do the right thing and fight to hold corrupt Republicans accountable, we need to have their back. Sign the petition urging the Department of Justice to investigate Clarence Thomas now.

In the letter, Whitehouse and Wyden wrote that the lavish gifts Thomas has received from major Republican donors raise "significant questions about whether he and his wealthy benefactors have complied with their federal tax obligations." 

The letter also states unequivocally that "no government official should be above the law." End Citizens United agreed, posting on social media that "it's beyond time we hold Clarence Thomas accountable for his actions."
