Tell the DOJ: Drop Bogus Charges Against Kat Abughazaleh

The Trump Justice Department just crossed a line — again.

Federal prosecutors have indicted Kat Abughazaleh, a Democratic congressional hopeful in Illinois, for taking part in a peaceful protest against ICE deportations. These “interference” charges aren’t about justice — they’re about politics.

The DOJ is trying to silence a rising progressive voice before she can hold Trump and his allies accountable in Congress. It’s election interference, and we have to fight back.

Videos show protesters standing calmly while federal officers escalated violence. Yet days after Abughazaleh announced her campaign, Attorney General Pam Bondi’s DOJ hit her with felony charges.

Even one of her opponents warned: “Today it’s Kat. Tomorrow it could be any one of us.”
