Tell the Dept. of Education: Cancel ALL outstanding interest

While millions of borrowers have paid off their original loan balance, many of them still owe tens of thousands of dollars in interest. Borrowers have held up their end of their commitment, and yet our government has allowed predatory lending practices to trap borrowers in a lifetime of debt.

We are no longer asking; we are demanding that the Department of Education cancel all outstanding interest associated with student debt.

Borrowers deserve transparency in lending practices and frankly continue to be harmed by capitalized interest, allowed by our government. It's time for the Department of Education to take a stand on behalf of student loan borrowers, beginning with the end of capitalized interest on ALL student loans.
