Tell Spotify: Stop Streaming ICE Recruitment Ads

Spotify built its brand on connection through music — but now the world’s largest streaming service is running recruitment ads for ICE, the agency behind family separation and mass deportations. ICE is using Spotify to lure new agents with cash bonuses and career perks, and Spotify is letting it happen.

When confronted, Spotify said the ads “don’t violate company policy.” That’s not acceptable. ICE’s policies and tactics are rooted in fear and racial targeting. By airing these ads, Spotify is normalizing that cruelty and turning its platform into a pipeline for enforcement.

Spotify has a choice: stand with the people who make and love music — or with an agency that tears families apart. Artists and listeners are already calling this out, demanding that Spotify live up to its values. If enough of us speak up now, we can make Spotify’s leadership feel the heat. Public pressure has forced major tech companies to act before — and we can do it again.

Spotify reaches over 600 million users. That’s 600 million reasons to take responsibility. Running ICE ads isn’t neutral — it’s complicity. Spotify profits from our playlists, our subscriptions, our trust. We have the power to demand better.

We’re calling on Spotify CEO Daniel Ek and the company’s board to remove all ICE recruitment ads immediately and to publicly ban paid promotions from any agency involved in deportation or detention.

ICE is still recruiting today, and Spotify is still helping them. We can’t let this stand. Add your name now to tell Spotify: stop streaming ICE propaganda and start standing up for human rights — before it’s too late.
