Tell Secretary Haaland to move faster to ban plastic

On World Oceans Day, June 8, 2022, Interior Secretary Deb Haaland issued an order to phase out single-use plastics across the entire Department of the Interior over a 10-year period--including National Parks. While this is an important step in the right direction, a decade is far too slow. Other nations have enacted plastic bans in a fraction of the time. Wildlife and people will continue to suffer the impacts of single-use plastic unless Secretary Haaland moves with more urgency to address this threat.

Please ask Interior Secretary Haaland to immediately ban the sale of single use plastics on National Park Service and other DOI-managed lands.
