Tell Republicans: Stop Lying About Trump’s Conviction

Donald Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts in his hush money trial. The jury used all evidence, testimonies, and facts to come to a just and fair decision. 

However, republicans are lying to the American people, including the dangerous mob that attacked the capitol on January 6, by falsing claiming that this trial was part of an unjustified political witch hunt against Trump. 

By putting out the false narrative that this trial was politically motivated in any way puts the judge, jurors, attorneys, and press in danger.

No one is above the law, not even an ex-president. A grand jury of ordinary people decided there was enough evidence to convict Donald Trump of his crimes. 

As Jon Favreau, host of Pod Save America asked, “is it the position of Republican politicians that they can only be tried for breaking the law if the charges are brought by Republican DAs, the case is heard by a Republican judge, and the verdict is rendered by a Republican jury?”
