Tell President Biden: Restore the right to asylum!

Migrants should be welcomed with dignity and compassion—not turned away or treated inhumanely. But for over two years, a federal policy known as Title 42 has blocked most migrants from crossing the U.S.-Mexico border to seek asylum, a human right.

This anti-immigrant policy has led to hundreds of thousands of people deported back to dangerous conditions or stranded in makeshift camps. Other migrants have been forced to take dangerous routes through deserts, mountains, rivers, and the ocean—facing extreme heat, violence, even death.

After extensive public pressure, the Biden administration tried to end Title 42. But now it wants to expand this inhumane policy to include people from Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua—some of the few countries that had been exempted from Title 42.
