Tell Mexico Pacific: Our seas aren’t gas stations

The Gulf of California is home to nearly 40 percent of all marine mammal species on Earth - including blue and fin whales – as well as whale sharks, leatherback sea turtles, and thousands of other wildlife species.

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) developer, Mexico Pacific, has proposed a fossil fuel project that will turn the Gulf of California into a gas station and shipping channel to export filthy liquefied natural gas.

Now, Mexico Pacific’s original seven-year permit is expiring, and despite their own mismanagement, flawed decision-making, and mounting opposition to industrialization of the Gulf, they are asking the Department of Energy for an extension of seven more years.

Tell Mexico Pacific to reverse its plans to export dirty US gas through the pristine Gulf of California.
