Tell Meta: Stop Trying to Buy Our Elections

Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta just dropped $65 million to rig our democracy.

According to reporting from the New York Times, Meta is pouring massive sums into super PACs backing state candidates who oppose stronger AI regulation. As more communities demand local leaders act, Meta is trying to stack statehouses before new rules on artificial intelligence can pass.

We need to show Zuckerberg, venture capitalists, and massive AI companies that if they keep trying to buy our elections and state legislatures, we’ll hold them accountable.

Tell Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg: “Stop trying to buy our elections. End political spending aimed at blocking AI regulation and respect voters’ right to set the rules.”

Meta is terrified that we’re finally starting to rein in Big Tech. States are debating safeguards against AI-driven discrimination, deepfakes, election misinformation, data center pollution, and mass surveillance. Instead of engaging honestly, Meta is flooding local races with cash to elect lawmakers who will shield Big Tech from accountability.

When one corporation can inject $65 million into down-ballot races, it drowns out teachers, workers, and families. That’s how billionaires rewrite the rules — not through democracy, but through money.

But when voters call out corporate election interference, it raises the political and financial cost. Media scrutiny grows. Investors take notice. And executives are forced to respond.

We need to show them our democracy is not for sale.

Add your name now to demand that Meta stop bankrolling super PACs to block AI safeguards and stop trying to buy our elections.

The petition to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg reads: “Stop trying to buy our elections. End political spending aimed at blocking AI regulation and respect voters’ right to set the rules.”
