Tell Media: Resist Labeling Liberal Cities as “Insurrection”

Some right-wing pundits have long urged Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act — and now, when Democratic-led cities resist his federal overreach, they’re being publicly framed as “rebels” or “insurrectionists.” Such labels mischaracterize local governance and erase the complexity of constitutional pushback.

Media outlets must not parrot these loaded claims without context or skepticism. Their obligation is to report the reality of what’s happening on the ground — not reduce civic resistance to theater.
