But independent economic data show inflation remains elevated, job growth has slowed, and many Americans continue to struggle — meaning Trump’s optimistic spin misleads voters about the real economic pain households are facing. 

We demand media outlets stop amplifying these misleading claims uncritically. Journalists must fact-check rhetoric, highlight economic reality — not political talking points — and give voters the full picture before the next election.
