Tell Lauren Boebert: Apologize for Racist Halloween Costume

Lauren Boebert turned racism into a Halloween costume — and she’s proud of it.

The Colorado congresswoman dressed as a "Mexican woman" complete with a sombrero and a sign mocking a Spanish accent, and her date dressed as an ICE agent. The photo went viral — and outrage exploded. Civil rights leaders called it “dehumanizing” and “a slap in the face to every immigrant family.”

But instead of apologizing, Boebert mocked her critics and called the backlash “woke hysteria.”

Tell Rep. Lauren Boebert: “Apologize for your racist Halloween costume and meet with immigrant and Latino leaders in your district.”

This episode demonstrates Boebert’s deep disregard for the immigrants and working families she’s supposed to represent. And it emboldens the other extremists in the Republican Party who turn racism into policy every day.

Even members of her own party have called her stunt “disgraceful.” But most have said nothing. America deserves better.

Add your name now — because racism is not a joke. And when we hold Boebert accountable, we can hold them all accountable.

The petition to Rep. Lauren Boebert reads: “Apologize for your racist Halloween costume and meet with immigrant and Latino leaders in your district.”
