Last year Governor Inslee ordered the Department of Fish and Wildlife to undertake a formal rulemaking process to require the use of non- lethal deterrence measures by livestock producers before authorizing the killing of wolves involved in livestock conflicts. Yet, the Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission voted 5 to 4 this past year against adopting proposed rules. And recently, an outgoing member of that commission wrote an Op Ed in a Washington newspaper attacking conservation organizations. This agency and the commission that oversees it needs an overhaul to begin to represent all voices--not just hunters and ranchers. Governor Inslee has the opportunity to appoint 3 new members to the commission that oversees WDFW's work. Please add your name to tell him to appoint pro-wildlife, pro-wolf individuals to these important positions.
