Tell House and Senate Dems: Freeze ICE Funding

Democrats have already introduced bills to freeze funding and force ICE reforms. The question now is whether they’ll unite to pass them.

Under Donald Trump, ICE has escalated raids, expanded militarized enforcement, and operated with near-total impunity. Families are torn apart. Communities live in fear. And Trump is demanding even more aggression.

That’s why Democratic lawmakers put forward legislation to freeze ICE funding. Because statements don’t stop raids — money does. A funding freeze would halt expansion, stop new enforcement operations, and force real accountability and reforms. But some Democrats are still hesitating.

Right now, DHS funding negotiations are happening behind closed doors. Republicans want ICE fully funded. Trump wants escalation. And unless Democrats act together, ICE will get another blank check — even though Democrats already wrote the bill to stop it.

There is no excuse for half-measures. You can’t condemn ICE and then vote to fund it without conditions or reforms.
