Tell Google & Amazon: Stop Monetizing Child Abuse Websites

A shocking Adalytics research report has uncovered that Google, Amazon, and other ad tech companies are placing ads—including federal government ads—on a website known to host child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These companies are profiting off exploitation, allowing ad revenue to flow directly to a site that facilitates horrific crimes against children.

A bipartisan group of U.S. Senators has launched an inquiry into this disturbing revelation, writing: “It is appalling that major advertising platforms may be placing advertisements on websites that host CSAM. Ad tech companies have an obligation to ensure that their platforms are not facilitating or profiting from this illegal and reprehensible content.”

Despite having policies prohibiting ads on sites containing child exploitation, Google and Amazon continue to prioritize profits over children's safety. Their negligence fuels the financial infrastructure that keeps these websites running. Every ad placed on these platforms puts money in the pockets of criminals and makes it harder to shut down these abusive operations.

This is not just a failure of corporate oversight—it is complicity in an industry that profits from child abuse and other illicit web content. If federal agencies unknowingly ran ads on these sites, how many other businesses and organizations are being tricked into funding exploitation without their knowledge?

Google, Amazon, and all major ad tech firms must be held accountable. We demand that they immediately cut all financial ties to CSAM websites, conduct full audits of their ad placements, and implement stricter policies to prevent this from ever happening again.
