Tell Fox News: Fire Brian Kilmeade

Fox News host Brian Kilmeade went on live television and said that homeless people should be executed. Even though he later issued a half-hearted apology, his comments were dangerous and utterly disqualifying for anyone entrusted with a national platform.

Fox News has fired staff before for far less. And across the media industry, journalists and commentators have lost their jobs in recent days for comments nowhere near as extreme. The Washington Post cut ties with a columnist who criticized Charlie Kirk. CBS News reported on multiple employees being fired for social media posts about Kirk. Yet Brian Kilmeade, who openly suggested violence against unhoused people, still has his prime-time seat at Fox News.

This double standard is unacceptable. Homelessness is not a punchline. It is a national crisis that affects hundreds of thousands of people every night, including veterans, children, and working families. Dehumanizing rhetoric like Kilmeade’s does not just demean those living without shelter — it normalizes hatred, fuels violence, and undermines the compassion and policy solutions desperately needed to address this crisis.

Fox News has a choice: either it stands for basic human decency or it endorses cruelty as entertainment. Allowing Kilmeade to remain on air sends a chilling message that calls for violence are tolerated when aimed at the most vulnerable among us.

We must act now. The longer Fox News looks the other way, the more dangerous this precedent becomes. Every day Kilmeade remains on the air is another day his reckless words go unchecked and unpunished.

Tell Fox News executives: Fire Brian Kilmeade immediately. Show the country that there are consequences for promoting violence and dehumanizing those who need compassion most.
