Tell FCC: Remain Neutral, Stop Pushing a Political Agenda

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr recently appeared on a right-wing podcast where he stated that broadcasters “could very well end up losing their licenses” if they don’t align with his view of the “public interest.”

The mere act of a regulator threatening broadcasters — and using ideological criteria as the basis — is a clear call for journalists and newsrooms to raise red flags. When media officials leverage regulatory power to demand compliance or face penalties, that’s not regulation — it’s pressure.

We call on news organizations to shine light on this, because transparency matters. Independent media must not become the megaphone for regulatory coercion.

Add your name to urge media outlets to hold regulators like the FCC to account an demand neutrality.
