Tell Etsy and Amazon: Stop Selling Alligator Alcatraz Merch

Amazon and Etsy are cashing in on cruelty.

Right now, both platforms are selling hats and T-shirts celebrating "Alligator Alcatraz"—a Florida immigrant detention center notorious for inhumane conditions. They’re allowing MAGA loyalists to make a quick buck glorifying a de facto concentration camp for migrant children and families.

The “Alligator Alcatraz” merch normalizes racism, dehumanization, and the abuse of vulnerable people. And by selling them, Amazon and Etsy are complicit.

Tell Etsy and Amazon: “Stop selling Alligator Alcatraz merch. Take down ‘Alligator Alcatraz’ products and issue clear public guidance to stop platforming hate.”

Detainees are enduring extreme heat, overcrowding, and psychological trauma at this facility. A former ICE advisor called it "trauma-inducing." Immigrant rights groups have sounded the alarm. And now, far-right influencers and Florida Republicans are making a mockery of that suffering—with merch.

Both companies claim to ban hateful and harmful content. But when it comes to profiting off immigrant pain, they’re now looking the other way. We've seen Amazon and Etsy pull offensive items before when enough people spoke out. Let’s do it again.

Sign the petition demanding Amazon and Etsy immediately remove all "Alligator Alcatraz" products and start enforcing their own rules. Immigrant suffering is not a joke. And it should never be for sale.

The petition to Etsy and Amazon leadership reads: “Stop selling Alligator Alcatraz merch. Take down ‘Alligator Alcatraz’ products and issue clear public guidance to stop platforming hate.”
