Tell EPA to greenlight electric boats

Protect frontline communities from dirty port pollution pumped out by boats running on diesel.

The communities around ports and harbors are some of the most polluted areas across the country. To tackle this growing health emergency, California’s state air board approved a cutting edge regulation in 2022 to curb pollution from diesel-powered boats. The policy, which set the first zero-emission standard for short-run ferries and requires other boats to shift to cleaner engines, will save hundreds of lives in California and provide billions of dollars in health benefits.

If the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grants a waiver for these new standards in California, other states can adopt them to protect the health of their own residents.
