Fossil fuel power plants are responsible for almost a quarter of the climate pollution generated by the US. These plants also release deadly air pollution. We cannot look away from our responsibility to clean up this pollution so that our families have cleaner air and a more stable climate. Last year, EPA finalized comprehensive standards that would avoid hundreds of millions of metric tons of carbon pollution through 2042. The finalized standards would also cut tens of thousands of tons of soot, sulfur dioxide, and smog-forming nitrogen oxide pollution. We have a moral responsibility to keep these smokestack standards to protect the health and well-being of our children and future generations. Join us in urging EPA to KEEP strong limits on carbon emissions from fossil fuel power plants.
