Tell DOI Secretary Burgum: Wind Is Our Clean Energy Future

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum just declared at a conference in Milan that “there is not a future for offshore wind because it is too expensive and not reliable enough.” That reckless statement isn’t just wrong—it’s a direct attack on our clean energy future, our climate, and our communities.

Offshore wind power is one of the most powerful tools we have to tackle the climate crisis. The winds off our coasts are strong, steady, and capable of generating enough clean energy to power millions of homes. Offshore wind means cutting the pollution that fuels deadly heat waves, floods, and wildfires. It means protecting public health by reducing toxic emissions from dirty fossil fuels.
