Tell Congress to Stop Trump's Logging Expansion

Trump just declared war on our forests.

With a single executive order, Trump has triggered a so-called "timber emergency" that opens the floodgates for industrial logging across millions of acres of public land. This isn’t about safety. It’s about profit—at the expense of wildlife, Indigenous lands, and our climate.

Trump claims logging will stop wildfires. But scientists say the opposite: clear-cutting forests releases planet-warming carbon, weakens ecosystems, and makes fires worse. Old-growth trees are vital climate defenders. Cutting them down fuels the very crisis we need to solve.

The damage has already begun. In the Black Hills, Tribal leaders are demanding a halt to logging that threatens sacred sites and community health. Nationwide, endangered species and pristine habitats are being bulldozed. Trump’s logging spree is reckless, dangerous, and deeply unjust.

But we have a way to stop it. Congress can override Trump’s order—if we speak out now. Lawmakers respond to pressure, and every signature helps build the public outcry needed to force action.

There’s no time to waste. Every day this order stands, more forests fall. We must act fast to defend our public lands and the communities who depend on them.
