Tell Congress: Strengthen the Child Tax Credit

Right now, 1 in 7 kids across the U.S. are growing up in poverty, and 13 million are facing food insecurity. As the cost of everyday essentials continues to rise, their well-being is being put in greater danger. 

Strengthening the Child Tax Credit (CTC) would be life-changing for families, providing critical relief so parents aren’t forced to choose between buying nutritious food, affording learning opportunities for their children or paying the bills.  

Improvements to the CTC helped slash child poverty by 50%. But if the current CTC is allowed to expire, millions of American families will see their credit cut in half. This is especially devastating for kids in rural America – where the risk of hunger, homelessness and learning loss is even higher.  

Child poverty is a policy choice. Tell Congress to support America’s families by strengthening the Child Tax Credit (CTC).
