Tell Congress: Stop Trump from Bombing Yemen

Donald Trump is threatening to drag the United States into yet another unauthorized war of choice.

After a deadly Houthi attack on Riyadh’s airport, Trump said the U.S. "may" join Saudi strikes against Yemen’s Houthis. That would put American forces and Yemeni civilians at risk — all without Congress voting to authorize this war.

Representatives Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie have introduced a new War Powers Resolution to stop it. The resolution would direct Trump to remove U.S. Armed Forces from unauthorized hostilities against Yemen’s Houthis, including direct airstrikes, intelligence sharing, targeting support, midair refueling, and other operational participation in Saudi-led attacks.

Tell Congress: Pass the Khanna–Massie Yemen War Powers Resolution and stop Trump from bombing Yemen.

The Constitution is clear: Congress decides whether the United States goes to war. Presidents do not get to launch military action on behalf of the Saudi regime whenever they choose. If Trump wants to put U.S. troops, pilots, intelligence personnel, or support teams into hostilities in Yemen, he must come to Congress first.

Yemen has already endured years of devastating war, famine, displacement, and civilian death. More U.S.-backed bombing would not bring peace. It would deepen the crisis, increase the risk of regional escalation, and make the United States responsible for another open-ended conflict with no clear legal authority and no real path to safety.

Congress has the power to stop this now. Lawmakers can pass the Khanna–Massie War Powers Resolution, reassert their constitutional authority, and make clear that Trump cannot use American forces to wage unauthorized war in Yemen.

Add your name now and demand Congress act before Trump turns another crisis into another catastrophic war.

The petition to Congress reads:

"Pass the Khanna–Massie Yemen War Powers Resolution immediately. Stop Donald Trump from launching or supporting unauthorized hostilities against Yemen’s Houthis, including direct U.S. airstrikes, intelligence sharing, targeting support, midair refueling, and other operational participation in Saudi-led attacks. Defend Congress’s constitutional war powers and pursue diplomacy instead of another illegal war."
