Tell Congress: Stop the Worst Bill in History

Former Labor Secretary Robert Reich here. The Senate just passed Donald Trump's big, ugly, budget-busting, Medicaid-shattering, shafting-the-poor-and-working-class, making-the-rich-even-richer megabill by a single vote.

I've worked in politics for over 50 years, and this is the most cruel, harmful, and flat-out immoral piece of legislation I've ever seen.

It's an absolute travesty. This bill will cause at least 17 million  Americans to lose health care. At least two million will lose SNAP benefits (aka food stamps). And corporations and the wealthy will disproportionately benefit from $4.5 trillion in new tax breaks.

BUT THIS FIGHT IS NOT OVER.

There are significant differences between the Senate and House versions of the bill that must be resolved. And the more that voters learn about the bill, the more they hate it.

Never before in the history of this nation has such a large redistribution of income been directed upward, for no reason at all. It comes at a time of near-record inequalities of income and wealth.
