The climate crisis has disproportionately harmed Indigenous communities and other poor and marginalized communities worldwide. These communities have made the fewest contributions to greenhouse gases, yet they have faced the most devastating consequences to their health, livelihoods, and ecosystems. Today the U.S. must take urgent action for climate justice. In 2022, President Biden signed historic climate legislation into law. But today, Congress is considering policy proposals that would make more concessions to fossil fuel industries and undermine progress in addressing climate change. That’s why elected officials must hear from us today. Tell Congress to act now to move us closer to climate justice!
