Tell Congress: Restore Federal Aid To Families In Need

The Trump administration is withholding federal childcare and family assistance funding from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, and New York—claiming fraud without providing evidence. All five targeted states are led by Democratic governors.

Families will be harmed. Working parents may lose childcare and have to leave jobs. Children may go without necessities. Vulnerable Americans will lose access to critical services.

If fraud exists, it should be prosecuted. But federal aid shouldn't be withheld from millions of families based on unsubstantiated claims.

Congress must demand evidence of fraud or immediate restoration of funding, protect family assistance programs from political interference, and ensure federal aid reaches families based on need, not politics.
