Tell Congress: Restore Ebola Funding Before More Die

Ebola is spreading in the Democratic Republic of Congo — and Trump’s aid cuts helped strip frontline responders of the tools they need to stop it.

Yesterday, the World Health Organization warned that this Ebola outbreak could become the deadliest in history. Over 4,400 people have been infected. More than 2,000 people have died. And many are dying outside treatment centers, a terrifying sign that Ebola may be spreading through hidden chains of transmission.

This is what happens when politicians gut global health and pretend there won’t be consequences. U.S.-funded programs helped detect outbreaks, support clinics, strengthen supply chains, improve sanitation, and move fast when deadly diseases appeared.
