Tell Congress: Reject Republicans Cruel Spending Bill

Republicans are pushing a cruel and reckless spending bill that would slash funding for critical programs, while handing more power—and a blank check—to Trump and Elon Musk. This disastrous proposal prioritizes massive defense spending and expanded deportation efforts while gutting programs that millions of Americans rely on.

This bill would make severe cuts to food assistance, housing programs, and education funding, leaving millions struggling to afford basic necessities. It would also slash funding for Social Security and Medicare administration, leading to delays and disruptions in benefits that seniors and people with disabilities depend on. Environmental protections and climate initiatives would be gutted, while billions of taxpayer dollars would be funneled into expanded deportation programs and Trump’s anti-immigrant agenda. 

The bill is a direct attack on working families, seniors, and vulnerable communities, all while padding the pockets of corporate interests.

Democratic Senator Patty Murray put it plainly: "Instead of turning the keys over to the Trump administration with this bill, Congress should immediately pass a short-term CR to prevent a shutdown and finish work on bipartisan funding bills that invest in families, keep America safe, and ensure our constituents have a say in how federal funding is spent."

With a government shutdown looming, Congress should reject this cruel bill and instead pass a clean funding resolution that protects essential services.
