Tell Congress: Put American Families Before War Budget

The Pentagon is requesting over $200 billion in new war funding for the conflict in Iran, and Congress must vote it down.

This war cost more than $11 billion in the first week of fighting alone. To put that in context, Congress approved $188 billion total for the entire Ukraine war over several years.

The Trump administration campaigned on ending foreign adventurism. It is now pushing for a $1.5 trillion defense budget — more than 50% higher than last year — even as its own budget office has raised internal objections. The costs of this war are growing faster than anyone can account for, and the public is being asked to foot the bill with little transparency and no clear endgame.

American families cannot afford to be an afterthought. Inflation is real. Housing costs are real. The financial pressure on working people is real. None of that gets addressed by rushing hundreds of billions of dollars into munitions production.

Congress is divided. Public opposition to this war is growing rapidly, and the midterm elections are approaching fast. The window to push back is open right now.

Tell Congress: demand a full accounting of war costs, reject runaway defense spending, and reinvest in the American families who are struggling.
