By age 5, 90% of a child's brain is already developed. That's why early learning is a child's best shot at a bright future. But too many families can't afford quality child care… and our nation is paying the price. To help address this, Congress must pass the Child Care Modernization Act. This legislation will improve child care quality and availability, expand access to affordable programs and ensure children have safe, nurturing places to learn. Investing in early childhood education builds safer communities with higher graduation rates, better economies and a stronger child care workforce. This Valentine's season, tell Congress to have a heart for kids!
