Tell Congress: No Child Should Be Separated From Family

The Trump administration is separating immigrant children from their parents again — including families already traumatized by Trump’s original family separation crisis.

An Associated Press investigation found that dozens of immigrant families have been separated a second time, despite a court settlement meant to prevent the government from repeating this cruelty. In some cases, parents have been detained or deported while their children were left behind.

No child should have to relive the terror of losing a parent to ICE. No parent should be forced to wonder whether the government will tear their family apart again. And no administration should be allowed to violate court-ordered protections in the shadows.

Tell Congress to investigate ICE, force full disclosure, and use its oversight power to reunite every family torn apart.

Family separation is a child welfare crisis, a civil rights crisis, and a test of whether court orders mean anything when vulnerable families are the ones being harmed.

The original family separation policy caused lasting trauma to thousands of children and parents. A court settlement was supposed to help ensure this cruelty would not happen again. But protections mean nothing if Congress allows ICE to separate families without accountability.

Add your name and demand Congress act now to stop family separation, force transparency, and reunite families immediately.

The petition to Congress reads: “Investigate ICE’s renewed separation of immigrant families, force DHS and ICE to disclose how many children have been separated from their parents, demand immediate reunification for families already torn apart, and block any funding or policy that allows family separation to continue.”
