Tell Congress: Investigate Trump's Revenge Committee

Donald Trump’s so-called “Revenge Committee” is weaponizing the power of government to target political opponents — and the House Oversight Committee must act before this turns into a full-blown purge of American democracy.

According to Reuters, a sprawling network of Trump allies embedded across federal agencies is driving an organized campaign to root out what they call the “deep state.” In reality, they are purging civil servants, scientists, and career professionals for doing their jobs — or for daring to question Trump’s personal agenda. Common Dreams reports that the administration has circulated “enemies lists” naming journalists, public health experts, and even Republican officials who refused to go along with lies about the 2020 election.

This isn’t politics as usual. It’s retribution — and it’s dangerous. No president should be able to use taxpayer-funded offices to punish perceived enemies or dismantle public institutions. The House Oversight Committee has the power — and the duty — to investigate these abuses, expose the truth, and protect nonpartisan governance before permanent damage is done.
