Tell Congress: Investigate ICE Detention Violence

ICE officer Luis Orduno-Martinez has been federally charged after video showed him repeatedly punching a handcuffed, defenseless immigrant at an ICE facility in Otay Mesa, California. This brutal assault raises critical questions about accountability and the culture within Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities nationwide.

Every person in government custody has constitutional rights and deserves humane treatment. When federal officers abuse their power against vulnerable people in detention, Congress must investigate and demand reform. We need transparency about the scope of abuse within ICE facilities, independent oversight, mandatory body cameras, and consequences for officers who violate civil rights.

Launch an immediate investigation into violence within ICE facilities. Hold officers accountable and implement systemic reforms to protect human rights.
