Tell Congress: Investigate ICE and CBP Weapons Stockpiles

ICE and Customs and Border Protection are quietly building massive weapons stockpiles — and Congress must act now.

In just one year, CBP doubled its weapons inventory while ICE nearly quadrupled its cache of munitions. Reports show weapons spending by DHS has surged since Trump took office, with over $140 million poured into rifles, ammunition, and tactical gear in 2025 alone.

Now Senator Adam Schiff has released a report raising serious concerns about this rapid militarization. His findings make one thing clear: this is not routine spending. It’s a dramatic expansion of firepower inside civilian immigration agencies that operate in our communities. It’s time for the rest of Congress to join Schiff in demanding answers.

Tell Congress: “Investigate ICE and CBP’s weapons stockpiles. Hold public hearings, audit their arsenals, and stop the unchecked militarization of immigration enforcement.”

ICE and CBP already wield enormous authority to detain and deport. When those same agencies stockpile weapons with little transparency or oversight, it threatens civil rights and escalates fear in immigrant neighborhoods.

Congress has the power and responsibility to investigate. The House and Senate Homeland Security Committees can subpoena contracts, audit arsenals, and hold public hearings to force DHS officials to explain what they’re buying and why.

Oversight only happens when the public demands it, so we’re asking you to join us in demanding Congress act now.

Add your name now and demand transparency, accountability, and a government that protects people — not one that stockpiles weapons in the shadows.

The petition to Congress reads: “Investigate ICE and CBP’s weapons stockpiles. Hold public hearings, audit their arsenals, and stop the unchecked militarization of immigration enforcement.”
